Our Team

Graeme McCausland

Founder

Graeme is the founder and owner of Peltoma Technology Consulting, and is a senior level Network Engineer and Principal Consultant. He brings 15 years of progressive network engineering and architecture experience spanning managed services, consulting, and large-scale cloud and data center environments. Most recently, he served as a Principal Cloud Network Engineer at a large HR software company from 2015 to 2024, where he led the design, implementation, and operational support of highly complex networks across six global data centers.

His work includes major outcomes such as standardizing and optimizing legacy cloud network and security configurations to enable rapid business growth, building the GCP network foundation to support the migration of a $100M+ business unit from private data centers into Google Cloud on time and on budget, and leading network design for a new European data center presence serving roughly 1M end users. He also delivered multiple “zero-impact” infrastructure refreshes, including core distribution and transport switch replacements, and led hardware refresh projects involving Juniper EX/SRX, Palo Alto firewalls, and Silver Peak WAN optimization platforms.

Earlier in his career, he built strong consulting roots at a New Brunswick based IT Services company as a Technical Architect, delivering design and implementation services for small to mid-sized organizations throughout Atlantic Canada. His work included enterprise wireless deployments, network assessments, and hands-on implementation of routing, switching, security, and wireless solutions—such as multi-site Cisco designs, Fortinet FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer deployments, core switch replacements, and highly available firewall implementations.

Graeme has been consulting full time since 2024, working on multiple projects with a global healthcare company.

Overall, his background blends hands-on implementation with senior-level architecture and operational leadership, with a consistent focus on secure, stable, scalable networks that support business-critical services at scale.
